October in the Ranch

October in the Ranch
San Diego’s near-perfect year-round climate makes it hard to tell when one season is transitioning into the next. As Fall approaches, locals may notice pumpkins adorning front porches and the slight crisp change in the morning air signaling the onset of the holidays, Halloween, and all things Harvest-related!

Residents are often are drawn to Rancho Santa Fe for its pastoral landscape and yet traditional charming neighborhood appeal. It may seem daunting to trick or treat when your nearest neighbor is 2 miles down the road, but local establishments have the following upcoming events to quench your need for celebrating the Spooky season.

If your family enjoys a good fright, the RSF Library is hosting a Spooky Movie Marathon all day on October 20th until closing time at 5:30 pm. For address and more details please visit

Got Candy? The RSF Village is hosting pre-Halloween festivities with Trick or Treating at local shops on Paseo Delicias and a Corn Maze and Pumpkin Carving for the kids on Friday, October 26th from 3-5 pm.

Afterward, attend The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe as they present their 5th annual Halloween Extravaganza, this year entitled the Wizard of RSF. Bring the whole family and come in costume to enjoy a Haunted House, bounce houses, and Spirited Food and Drink on the main lawn.

Thursday, October 25th, and Friday, October 26th from 5:30-10 pm. Admission is complimentary.

These fun events make it easy to Eat, Drink and be Scary while mingling with local families and neighbors this October!
